ONDO 2024: I will make the difference as the Governor – Kolade Akinjo.

The former Honourable member, however noted that all the aspirants are the most qualified but that he is the only candidate with a difference among them. He stressed further that he has done well when he was in the office as a House of Reps member and that he is going to hit the ground running when he becomes the governor of Ondo state.

Ahead of the 2024 Gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo, the former member House of Representatives, Ilaje/Ese-odo federal constituency officially declared his intention to vie for the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to members of the party in Ilaje Local Govt, Ondo state.

Hon. Akinjo made this announcement on Sunday during his meeting with the working committee, and the other stakeholders at the PDP Secretariat in Igbokoda.

While addressing the party leaders and supporters, he emphasized that he’s a candidate with a difference judging by his long-standing loyalty to the party and his performance and commitment while he was in the office as a member of the House of Representatives.

In his words, “I have come here to declare my intention to throw in my cap for the ticket of the party in the forthcoming Guber election in Ondo state and that any moment from now, I will be picking up my nomination form”.

While unveiling his manifesto and soliciting for support, he further promised to be prudent, transparent and accountable to ensure that public resources and opportunities are made available to all citizens in order to ensure they had a fulfilling livelihood.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Tola Alabere, the acting State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said since it is becoming impossible for the party to come up with a consensus candidate, he called on all the aspirants to be diplomatic in their campaigns as whoever emerges would be expected to work with other aspirants for the party to take over power in the state.
